I am not a girl who always put on makeup.
Honestly, I’m very minimal. I am just getting into this makeup thing, because what girl doesn’t love a lilt makeup. To help me explore my new makeup interest, I signed up for a Boxycharm subscription. You can check out my Youtube for more details, but to sum it up, I get 5-6 items for $21. All of the products are full sized. The subscription has helped me explore what I like and what I don’t like.
For all my simple girls, this is for you. I love beauty and fashion, but they have never been my passion. So I’m still learning how to create different looks. However, I did want to create a simple, natural look for the prions time. A look that can also be your everyday go to make up. Some of the products that I received in Boxycharm boxes have really helped me explore what products I like and don’t like. I used some of the ones that I like, to help me create this look.
To create a base for my makeup, instead of foundation, I just used this No Pore-blem primmer by Touch in Sol. I usually use the Dr. Brandt, primer, but I hadn’t yet tried this one. I did not like it as much as the Dr. Brandt, probably because that one can be worn without foundation., I do think you need foundation for the No Pore-blem primer. But it got the job done and it did cover my pores well.
For my eyes, I used a palette from Tarte and an eyeshadow primer by Luscious. I first applied the primer, which I love. It really helps make your eyeshadow pop. I then applied the dark brown in the outer corner of my eyelid. The next color I chose was a more neutral brown to blend in with the darker brown. This created a natural look on my eyes.
After applying the eye shadow, I used black eyeliner by Starlooks. This is just a stick eyeliner that is long lasting. It does last me throughout the day. Once that is applied, you can then either put on false lashes or mascara. I used mascara in this case because I wanted a more natural, everyday look. Spring makeup should be light and airy, and look as natural as possible.
Last, but certainly not least, I did my lips. I used a lipstick by Trtestique. It also came with a lip primer which reminds me of chapstick. However, it did help the lipstick glide on smoothly. This color is English Rose.
You can checkout how this look came together right here on my YouTube channel. I love this look because it can be your everyday look. It’s also natural and not too heavy.
